This blog is dedicated to tracing the genealogy of the Kerr (Karr) family line. The farthest I have been able to trace the line, thus far, is to Thomas Kerr and Ann Clarke. However, the information I have is on his son, Thomas. Other than Thomas and Ann being his parents, I have no other information.

The Children of James and Catherine Hughes

Aunt Catherine and Uncle James Hughes with their son, James, Jr. in the 1930 Chicago Census

Catherine and James had one son, James Hughes, Jr. In the 1930 Census, there is a Mary Hughes, but according to the family, no Mary ever existed.

James Hughes, Jr. was born on 1 Nov 1921 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. He married Cecile McManigal. Together they had 6 children: Michael, Robert, Janet, Mary, Steven, and Thomas. James died in September 1984 in Woodridge, Du Page, Illinois.
